Can you change the tone if the doc to be more documentation like. Currently it's more like a tutorial.
Also see if you want to split into multiple files.
Maybe you should link to the respective pages from the API plugin docs.
For the example, can you use the example of Joomla article plugin so that it's easier for people to understand.
